  1. This portrait captures certain aspects of recent events that go way beyond the disasters in Japan.

    There's a feel about this image that suggests hope, even though the main subject's expression suggests otherwise.

    This is really heavy, Rouble. I like it a lot.

  3. Excellent use of negative space. That's so important and something I often neglect in my own work.

    I recently re-watched a movie in the the original wide screen format (having watched it the very first time in pan & scan) and what a difference it made.
